Ring in Lunar New Year this February with a grand banquet and a huge line-up of performances at The Star. TV host Nicole He is presenting the event, which includes performances by lion and dragon dancers, contemporary Chinese dance troupes, and a traditional harpist.
For $188 per person, The Star is holding a six-course banquet lunch and dinner featuring dishes with themes of fortune, wealth, auspiciousness and opulence.
There'll be an abundance of food and on the menu you'll find dishes like supreme abalone and sea cucumber broth with fish maw and Chinese shitake mushrooms. There's grass-fed O’Connor beef tenderloin with warm kale salad, peanut crumbs and sesame black pepper sauce; and parcel steamed money bags with barramundi, bok choy, lotus crisps, ginger and shallots. Leave room for the crab, truffle and egg white fried rice with conpoy, Chinese broccoli and scallions.
Included in the price is a three-hour drinks package with wine by Penfolds and sparkling by Chandon.
