Heading down to Oxford Street to have a boogie amongst sweaty bodies may not be on the cards for some time to come. But lucky for us, every weekend throughout the height of the iso era, the Stonewall Hotel’s biggest queens and best entertainers took to the stage every weekend via livestream.
Sydney drag matriarch Minnie Cooper and dashing co-host Steven Milne bring you Live from Stonewall, a variety show with lots of hilarious and fabulous guests joining them live from their lounge rooms and in person on the Stonewall stage, where the club has been repurposed as a socially distanced studio.
This Saturday, June 17, Live from Stonewall is back for a one-off special in honour of World Pride. Tune in from 8pm for two hours of celebrations with star-studded appearances from the likes of Grace and Frankie star Lily Tomlin, Eurovision megastar Conchita Wurst, Wentworth actor Daniielle Alexis, Olympic gold medalist Matthew Mitcham and many more.
This rapid concept-to-air show started streaming early on in lockdowns and gained over 40,000 views and a nomination in the Time In Awards.
Tune in from 8pm on Saturday night at stonewall.live for some proper iso-tainment.
