Every Sydneysider will be familiar with that most quintessential of Sydney views at Circular Quay – but for two days only, there will be a whole new way to take in this iconic vista.
Courtesy of outdoor gear brand Kathmandu, Circular Quay is getting its very first urban zipline. For just $5 a go, thrillseekers will be able to hurtle along the docks at the Sydney Cove Overseas Passenger Terminal by the Rocks at 40km-per-hour, with the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House in view.
Best of all, this pop-up attraction is raising money for a very good cause. Kathmandu is not only donating 100 per cent of ticket sales to mental health charity Beyond Blue, but it has also pledged to match every entry fee, essentially doubling any funds raised.
The Kathmandu Urban Zipline will be in town for just two days, on June 11 and 12, so you best book your tickets pronto if you want to be one of the lucky few who get bragging rights for riding Circular Quay’s very first flying fox.
