If you blinked, you will have missed out on tickets to Matt Groening’s talks at Sydney Opera House, which sold out soon after its announcement. However, there’s plenty more to geek out on over the two-day event, which includes a screening and live re-scoring of George Lucas’ directorial debut THX 1138. The film is a sci-fi classic that became the blueprint for sagas like Star Wars.
As always, there are free talks and screenings – a traditional offering of the annual festival. You can still register for the screening of Likely Stories from Neil Gaiman (featuring a Q&A via satellite) and a talk by graffiti artist and manga illustrator Brandon Graham.
