Daisy Johnson: Everything Under

Last year, British author Daisy Johnson became the youngest ever writer to be shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize for her reimagined version of the Oedipus myth. Everything Under tells the story of Gretel and her mother, who have a secret language that they share living on a houseboat on a canal in Oxfordshire. It’s a world far removed from the classic Greek myth, but one that’s unsettling and moving. Johnson will talk about the themes in her debut novel with Australian journalist Nadia Bailey, including language, secrets and what’s left unsaid.
