Time Out says

If your mixology expertise extends to putting tonic water in your gin with a wedge of lime, but you really, really love Tom Cruise shaking his thing in the classic ‘80s movie Cocktail, here's your chance to level up.  Forget Hollywood megastar – who needs him when we have our own  bar legends right here? Maybe Sammy ranked 11th in the World’s 50 Best Bars list of 2020, after all.

Maybe Sammy will field one of their award-winning bartenders to their favourite cultural neighbour as part of MCA Up Late, a  series of evening events hosted by the Museum of Contemporary Art this summer. Cocktails and Tricks with Maybe Sammy will take over the fourth floor Sculpture terrace on Friday February 19 at 6.30pm, where the bartenders will show you how you can master the art of curating cocktails all without splashing out on expensive equipment – you'll likely have all the tools you need at home.

Afterwards, it'd be rude not to sit back and sip the fruits of your labour while enjoying the harbour views. It’s a suitably stylish spot, but tickets are a steal at $20 (less than your average cocktail). The museum is open until 9pm, so you can soak up some culture afterwards.

If you can't make it to the class, Maybe Sammy will be serving cocktails with an Australian twist each Friday in February at the MCA, including Eucalyptus Gimlets, Jasmine Negronis and Chamomile Martinis.
