Winter is coming, and once again the hugely popular Carriageworks Winter Night Market is blowing in on that icy breeze. This year’s winter edition of the after dark food adventure will be curated by James Viles from fine dining establishment Biota in the appropriate freezing Southern Highlands. He’ll be transplanting the restaurant’s focus on using locally produced and sourced ingredients to the winter feast in Sydney with the theme ‘wild’.
The line-up of more than 50 stalls from leading Sydney restaurants, bars and producers will create menus for the evening which utilise native and locally and ethically sourced produce, with a special focus on putting all elements of ingredients to good use. As always, the market is featuring some of the city's finest in the food game, from A1 Canteen to LP's Quality Meats, and Fish Butchery, plus local brewers, distillers and bars like PS40, Poor Tom's Gin and Yulli's Brews. We’re excited to see what the city’s coolest eateries do with roots, shoots and all.
As in previous editions of both the winter and summer markets, there’ll also be live cooking demonstrations and musical performances to keep you entertained in between courses.
You’ll need to fork out $10 in advance for the highly sought after tickets before you can get stuck into the eating.
