Time Out says

Your chance to pick up authentic Indigenous gifts, art, jewellery and more is here when Twilight Blak Markets returns to Redfern’s National Centre of Indigenous Excellence on Thursday 1 April.

At Twilight Blak Markets, 100 percent of profits go back into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The event kicks off with a Smoking Ceremony from Tribal Warrior followed by a performance from Brolga Dance Academy. Local legend Aunty Beryl Van Oploo will be giving a cooking demonstration, showcasing First Nations ingredients and flavours.

Run by Indigenous advocacy group First Hand Solutions, these markets have become a Sydney mainstay, both at NCIE and on Bare Island in La Perouse. Young Indigenous Sydneysiders are actively involved and trained in retail and hospitality at the markets, and proceeds from the event are used to support local initiatives with the First Nations community.

This Covid-safe event is presented by NCIE, in association with Blak Markets and supported by the City of Sydney.
