Time Out says

You don’t have to travel to France to taste the country’s most esteemed wines with the return of Bastille Festival’s 1.4km wine walk. The Bastille team is bringing this essential part of French culture back to Circular Quay for its 10th anniversary from July 13-16. Embark on a first-class tasting trip with priority access to four or eight premium wine tastings from Normandy, Provence, Burgundy and more.

Start your Tour de France at the Bastille Festival information tent in First Fleet Park or any of the eight Bastille wine bars where you’ll receive a trusty French passport, reusable eco wine glass, and map to navigate you through the eight distinct wine regions dotted throughout Circular Quay.

Your Bastille Wine Walk passport isn’t just a fun souvenir; it grants you priority access to each bar where you’ll be greeted by a dedicated host who will stamp your passport and talk you through the flavours of the wines you’re about to taste. Each wine is a true testament to the artistry and character of France including Château Carbonneau 2019, Sequoia red from Bordeaux, Domaine La Domitienne, IGP Oc Grenache-Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 from Languedoc, Domaine de La Garelle, Luberon red from Rhone Valley and Sassy cider rosē from Normandy.

The Bastille Festival kicks off its 10th anniversary celebrations at noon on Thursday, July 13, with the Wine Walk available until 10.30pm, 11am to 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 11am to 7.30pm on Sunday, July 16. Tickets are $36 for a four-wine tasting tour and $59 for an eight-wine trip.

Prepare to jet set by booking your Bastille Wine Walk passport here.
