Amy Shira Teitel is the mastermind behind the YouTube channel Vintage Space, which features two-minute clips on the big questions like ‘Do astronauts wear make-up in space?’ and ‘Why does a rocket need to roll going into orbit?’ She’s a journalist for NASA’s New Horizons, and she’s written a book called Breaking the Chains of Gravity. Join Amy in an evening lecture at the Powerhouse Museum to hear her talk about engaging the public in the excitement of space missions to Pluto and growing her audience with the help of her cat Pete Conrad (named for the commander of Apollo 12).
