Abdul Abdullah is one of Sydney’s most promising emerging artists. His work, which spans painting, photography, video and performance, has won him the Blake Prize and made him a three-time Archibald finalist. He has shown in the MCA, GOMA and the NGA, and he’s
a finalist in the Basil Sellers Prize at Melbourne’s Ian Potter Gallery. Abdullah promotes others in the art scene through his FBi Radio show Canvas.
In the future Abdul hopes Sydney: “Has a drop in rental prices. Also, I think there’s already a lot of community support for the arts in Sydney and I just hope that it’s not undervalued.”
