Belvoir presents the Australian premiere of a play that has dazzled critics and audiences in New York and London. Cartoon characters, pop music and high art collide in a post-apocalyptic world where The Simpsons has become the new global religion.
“Refugees from an unspecified catastrophe huddle around a fire in the woods, trying to recount the ‘Cape Feare’ episode of The Simpsons,” explains Time Out New York’s five-star review of Anne Washburn’s Mr Burns, a Post-Electric Play. “Out of that primitive act of bonding and consolation spins a startlingly emotional epic of the human ability to survive horror – and eventually turn it into art.”
If that sounds like your idea of fun (personally, we can’t wait) then listen up: Time Out and Belvoir are giving away two tickets to the opening night performance at 7.45pm on Saturday May 20, plus two glasses of bubbles because, well why the hell not?
To win, simply enter your details below before Thursday May 18.
