With the world’s biggest football tournament kicking off on Monday November 21, it’s time to tune into the sporting event of the year. Soccer is always more fun when it's watched with a crowd, and this season, The Star Sydney is a great place for sports fans to assemble. The event will be playing large and loud across The Star’s 24/7 Sports Bar and Rock Lily, and you won’t miss a moment with the enormous 34m2 LED screen and 50 LCD TVs situated around the premises. There will also be soccer activities, games and visits from some very big names in football. If you’re a fan of the World Game, there’s few better places to be.

Get ready for kick off

Fri Dec 2, 11pm-1am

If you have any burning questions for a soccer megastar, now could just be your time to ask. At The Star, football fans will be treated to the appearance of three champion soccer players for interviews, Q+As, meet-and-greets and photo ops. Kicking things off on December 2 is none other than Luis Nani, the legendary Portuguese player who had major success with Manchester United and currently plays winger with the Melbourne Victory. Interviews will take place two hours before the game, so guests will have plenty of time to hear from players about the tournament, their playing careers and a range of other topics. The rest of the Champion series guests are TBC, so keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon

With Budweiser as the official sponsor of 2022 FIFA World Cup, the American pale lager is the festive drink of choice this soccer season. To celebrate, The Star’s 24/7 Sports bar is introducing a Budweiser loyalty card with exclusive merch up for grabs. Just be sure to get your bartender to stamp your loyalty card each game day you attend. Three stamps will earn you a cap, six stamps a cup, eight a bottle opener, ten a ball, 12 will unlock a shirt, and 21 stamps will earn you a $500 gift card for The Star.
