It has been a BIG year for football in Australia and it’s about to blow up even more thanks to a brand-new A-Leagues football round launching in January 2024. You can watch Unite Round unfold in 12 action-packed games featuring all 13 A-Leagues teams (including the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women), with tickets on sale now. Kids are also invited to play in the Unite Round Junior Gala Day and Unite Cup. Here’s a handy guide to the A-Leagues Unite Round in Sydney.

What is Unite Round?

A-Leagues Unite Round is the first sporting code in Australia to celebrate a full men’s and women’s round in a single city. It’s also a first-of-its-kind round where all men’s and women’s games will be played across one weekend. Plus, an exclusive four days of action-packed football just for kids.

Where is Unite Round being played?

Double header matches will be hosted across three stadiums in Sydney, including Allianz Stadium in Moore Park, Leichhardt Oval and CommBank Stadium in Parramatta.

When is Unite Round?

Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s double headers will be hosted at Commbank Stadium on Friday, January 12 and at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, January 13. Liberty A-League Women’s double headers will be hosted at Leichhardt Oval on both these days. Then on Sunday, January 14, double headers across the men’s and women’s competitions will be played at Allianz Stadium and CommBank Stadium. You can see the full fixture here.

Which teams are playing in Unite Round?

All 12 Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s and 12 Liberty A-League Women’s teams will play in the Unite Round, including CommBank Matildas star and Sydney FC player Cortnee Vine and Adelaide United’s Nestory Irankunda who recently signed with FC Bayern Munich.

How can you get tickets to Unite Round?

Tickets to Unite Round are on sale now. You can buy single tickets from $25 (per adult) or a three-day pass for only $99. All tickets include free public transport to and from the game, including trips across the Sydney train network and light rail and buses in the Sydney Metro area.

What will be at Unite Round’s Super Saturday event?

Fans will be able to enjoy a host of family-friendly entertainment and additional match-day activations in stadium precincts across Allianz Stadium, CommBank Stadium and Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, January 13. You can brush shoulders with football stars at the player signing sessions, take pictures with the club mascots and meet your favourite Nickelodeon characters. Get in the spirit by having your hair braided and your face painted in your team colours, then hang around and jam out to live DJs, enjoy interactive games and giant inflatables, and grab merchandise and giveaways.

How can I watch the AFC Asian Cup in Sydney?

You can join fellow football fans to watch the Subway Socceroos compete against India in the AFC Asian Cup at a viewing party at the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park. The game will be streamed live on a big screen from 10.30pm on Saturday, January 13.

What are the Girls Unite Gala Day and Unite Cup?

As part of Unite Round, the A-Leagues is inviting kids aged six to 16 years old to participate in a Girls Unite Gala and Unite Cup divisional tournament from Thursday,  January 11 to Sunday,  January 14 at Wanderers Fives and Leichhardt Oval. With A-Leagues player appearances and free Unite Round tickets up for grabs, this four-day event dedicated to football-loving kids is set to make their summer unforgettable. Check it out here.
