In the past 12 months, we’ve seen many overseas chains setting up new stores in Sydney, including COS, H&M, Sephora and Uniqlo. One of the first European retailers to come our way was Zara, five years ago, which caused ‘Zara fever’ according to one news outlet as people lined up for hours to shop the wallet-friendly threads.
Today, the Spanish retailer is introducing its homewares collections to Sydney with the opening of its first dedicated Zara Home store at Pitt Street Mall. The Australian flagship store is the second shop to open down under, with the first going to Melbourne’s Highpoint Shopping Centre. This store will receive limited edition collections, plus a rotation of the mainline Zara Home collections twice each year. In other words, this one will be better.
