The first 100 per cent Australian-grown single-sourced juniper gin will soon drop in a limited batch

Australians have a long-term love affair with gin, so it’s lucky that we distill some of the best in the world. Our country’s first dedicated gin distillery, Kangaroo Island Spirits, is celebrating Australian Gin Week, with the release of its limited-edition First Harvest Juniper Gin. 

Produced exclusively from single-sourced juniper berries grown in their Cygnet River distillery garden, this first-release spirit bottles the essence of Kangaroo Island's incredible biodiversity and climate. The berries are hand-picked and blended with other Australian-grown botanicals including angelica, native thyme, cardamom leaf, lemongrass and pepper. 

Head distiller of Kangaroo Island Spirits, Charlie Schmidt said, "In developing this gin, we drew inspiration from our immediate surroundings. Our founders had the foresight to cultivate an exceptional garden brimming with ingredients, providing us with a diverse palette to work with. The chosen elements enhance the juniper's character, adding depth and spotlighting the flavours unique to our garden."

Gin lovers can snap up this super limited release of Kangaroo Island Spirit’s First Harvest Juniper Gin during Australian Gin Week from Monday, November 13. You’ll have to wait another three to five years for the next release, so get in quick before the gin sells out.
