If you go to just one design market this year make sure it’s Finders Keepers. They’ve been touring the market circuit for ten years now and have grown from a tiny 20 stall operation into a three day art and design paradise with record breaking attendance, with its pre-Christmas edition taking place at Barangaroo's the Cutaway.
Their Dec 8-10 markets are shaping up to be as strong as ever with a hefty line-up of independent creatives. Sydney is a swimming city and Camp Cove will deck you out in some of the cutest locally manufactured cozzies around; Clay Canoe ceramics are ideal for design-savvy gift givers; Hello Miss May will keep your lapel pin game strong; and Sollis Jewellery will adorn you in ethically crafted bijouterie.
For those looking to redecorate their humble abode Huddle & Co will be selling their minimalist, Scandi-chic furniture which you can complement with some prints Amelia Herbertson and Andrea Smith.
The edible offerings at the Finders Keepers Market are also always a big drawcard. Get smoked pulled pork burgers from Eat Art Truck; super snags from Chrissy's Cuts; mean green salads from Bliss Bowls; and fluffy steam baos from Tsuru.
This time around Finders Keepers are extending their opening hours so that you’ve more time to shop. The markets open from 5-10pm Friday Dec 8 (late night shopping anyone?) and are staying open till 7pm on Saturday as well. Entry is only $2.
