The Baron was named after Frenchman Baron Verincourt de Clambe; the menu informs us he was the first freeman to live in Castle Hill. It's the first small bar to hit the area and is also a café by day, doling out pulled pork sambos, bacon and egg rolls and banana bread like mum's until late in the day. But on Friday and Saturday evenings it strips off its Clark Kent glasses and becomes a small bar, with some very nice craft beers on the menu. There's also a handful of wines available if you fancy a glass.
