Coogee's beachside Thai restaurant, Sugarcane, is having a treehchange and opening up a new venue in leafy Lane Cove. Sugarlane's menu will feature hits from Milan Strbac's original menu, including the rice cakes with prawn; crispy chicken with plum sauce; and the wagyu beef rendang curry. Sydney's lower north shore isn't always ground zero for hot new openings so it's big news when a fresh offering zeroes in on the famously family-friendly suburb. People can keep dat enight closer to home with a 50-strong wine list and South East Asian-inspired cocktails. And just because you can't be hitting a Thai beach this season doesn't mean you can't linger over an imported brew and think holiday thoughts.
