This community-focused Willoughby café is all about serving up Korean-bent dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Inside you'll find a local's wall of fame with polaroids of customers and friends. It’s a cute touch – as is the custom kids colouring-in menu and tiny tropical fish in a bowl. Coffee comes but the way of Danes. There are also jars of raw honey collected by a local retiree-turned-beekeeper from just around the corner on Bottlebrush Lane. It's the little touches like this that show why this café is obviously a hit with the locals.
You'll also spot Korean cookbooks – this is the first giveaway for the Korean-focused menu. The fried chicken is excellent – battered in cornflour and served hot and crunchy, with a side of thick gochujang-spiced hot sauce. You can also get sizzling plates of slow cooked ribs, packed out nourishing bowls (including a bibimbap inspired one); and loaded burgers. The menu also has little Instagram symbols next to the dishes that make for standout feed-fodder (think loads of colour and lovely presentation).
