Chippendale is now home to Nighthawk Diner's first permanent bricks and mortar restaurant where they'll be dishing out Philly cheesesteaks, Cuban sandwiches, boozy milkshakes and more.
Nighthawk Diner perfected their diner inspired classics via their food truck collective (there's three in the flock – Nighthawk, Sweethawk and Tacohawk). The vintage airstream van has wheeled around Sydney and its various festivals, parties and streets for the past six years, and now they will be channelling the good times into their permanent home.
The diner will be dishing out a greatest hits style menu, which includes beef brisket tacos, fried chicken sandwiches and cheeseburgers. They'll also be doing boozy brunches on the weekend and if you head in at 4.20pm you'll find a secret menu with snacks going for just $4.20. Having stable digs also means they'll be shaking up cocktails including peach Mimosas, Cuba Libres and Big Red spiked Margaritas, and they'll also be slinging tins and wine.
