They're keeping it fresh at Maccoa at the Clan Terrigal, with their seasonal menu changing regularly to accommodate the best available market produce. The restaurant interior has a clean white palette, in keeping with the seaside setting: think soft billowing linens and salty whitewash.
At breakfast you can get your café-essential smashed avocado, but with a twist – it’s served on corn bread with a sprinkling of chilli pistachio. Or bring some friends to dinner and try a feasting plate. From $55 per person, you can have a taste of everything from smoked salmon, dill and lemon pâté to chilli garlic prawns tossed in a salad with a white balsamic vinaigrette.
Maccoa welcomes visitors to the Central Coast, but also takes care of its local patrons. A special menu is offered on locals night every Wednesday and Thursday, with BYO wine permitted to keep the good vibes flowing. The new alfresco dining allows couples and groups to lunch overlooking the lagoon and out to the beach, and it’s the perfect spot to sip Mimosas while listening to live music during Sunday sessions.
If you're just popping in for a takeaway coffee, don't forget your reusable cup – you’ll get a discount.
