Time Out says

We already love Lotus Dumpling Bar at Walsh Bay – they’re doing some of the best dumplings in town, and it’s a saving grace to have food of this standard in that neck of the woods. But Lotus The Galeries is a far more extensive enterprise, not least because the place is freaking massive.

The food comes by way of Chris Yan, a veteran in Sydney’s Chinese food history. He worked for no less than 18 years under the Queen of Chinese food herself, Kylie Kwong, at Billy Kwong and also shook the pans at China Doll in Woolloomooloo. So you can expect amazing food, with a whole range of those incredible dumplings, live seafood like lobster, mud crab and pipies transformed with hot, sticky sauces and desserts from former-Banc and Four in Hand chef Tiffany Jones (we’re got our eyes on the yuzu brûlée with coconut cake, salted white chocolate, coconut ice cream and yuzu paper).

It’s situated within the Galeries in the heart of the CBD, so it’s easy to access too. What are you waiting for?
