Leafy Lane Cove now has its own modern Middle Eastern eatery by the way of Lillah. Israel-born chef Roy Ner (who you may know from SBS's The Cook's Line or from his Surry Hills restaurant Nour) consulted on the menu, which navigates trays piled with smoky baba ghanoush, hummus, crunchy falafels, tahini, hummus and crunchy pickles; alongside slow cooked lamb with charred flat breads and charcoal grilled eggplant. You can also order up saffron infused cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails (like the Coffee Date, with fig puree, espresso and date syrup) and wines that navigate the east coast and NZ. The long corridor restaurant is family friendly (there's a cute kids' menu with mini falafels) and BYO (but at $10 corkage you may as well peruse the wine list).
