One of the first towns you’ll roll into on your South coast adventure is Berry, and for a tiny place, Berry has a high concentration of good things, including upscale pan-Asian restaurant Hungry Duck. The starters are the stars here, and if you ask politely they’ll give you half serves so you can try more things. The duck spring rolls are substantial and crisp, while crumbed quail eggs with ponzu mayonnaise have satisfyingly explosive yolks. Come at lunch for a mean bowl of roast duck ramen, and if weather permits, eat in the garden out the back, which is a little slice of Bali in Berry.
