This Italian bistro was born when the owner was asked the age old question ‘What are you doing with your life’ by his parents. Now after clocking up hours in Rockpool, Merivale and Fratelli Fresh’s kitchens young chef Mauro Forgillo is going out on his own, to front House Bar and Bistrot.
Set within a Victorian terrace house the Potts Point eatery will focus on using NSW’s produce, with Forgillo baking bread, whipping up fresh fruit gelato and rolling out pasta in house. The menu will change regularly, but will focus on a single pasta, pizza, fish, meat and veggo dish, keeping seasonality at the forefront.
