If you haven't lined up outside the original Frango in Petersham amongst the fluro-vest tradies, drooling families and critically hungover twenty-somethings can you really call yourself a Sydneysider? Now, you can take your charcoal chook cravings to Concord, with a new outpost for the family-owned business ready to service the Inner West. Serving up the same classics with the addition of an expansive outdoor dining area, Frango Concord is bound to be your new Portuguese chook go-to.
Frango Concord has set up its nest in the Majors Bay Road food precinct, with ample outdoor seating and accessible points for takeaway service. Owner Luis Fernandes has expressed his family's delight to be servicing this pocket of the Inner West as it's where he grew up. The people of Concord and Canada Bay can now hit up their local Frango via UberEats or in person instead of making the trek to Petersham.
Expect the same classic recipes from Frango's Portuguese charcoal chicken history. That perfectly basted and crispy chook slathered in the Fernandes family's famous piri-piri chilli sauce. Of course you'd be cuckoo bananas to not top up your meal with their shoestring fries dusted with Frango's signature chicken salt. There's also moreish burgers, Espetada skewered lamb, beef, pork or chicken, fresh salads and Portuguese Tarts for dessert.
