Trying to find a relaxed-but-edgy restaurant with slick service for lunch in busy Bondi can be hard – but only if you’re not familiar with Lola’s Level 1.

This 94-seat venue on Campbell Parade (it occupies the former Panama House site) is the ideal spot for both a quick bite to eat or a leisurely, long lunch. The menu is loaded with Mediterranean-inspired fare – think small plates like hiramasa kingfish crudo and fritto misto, and larger pasta and saffron socarrat dishes – while the extensive wine list invites you to cancel your afternoon plans and settle in for a solid tasting sesh.

Lola’s Level 1 also offers three set menu options, starting at $60, $80 and $100. All include a selection of shared nibbles, plus mains and a dessert. And with three types of oysters to choose from, it would be rude not to kick off the meal with a few of these freshly shucked delicacies.

With prime ocean views of Bondi Beach from the balcony, Lola’s Level 1 is going to be one sought-after site come summertime for premium cocktails and people watching. But with moody and modern interiors, it’s also an inviting space where you can cosy up in winter with a good glass of red. Talk about the ultimate all-seasons establishment.

Lola’s Level 1 caters for groups of eight to 25. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can make a booking at the website.
