Brooklyn Crispy isn't here to take its pizza too seriously. At the Potts Point establishment, it's all about pizza for the people – and their pups.
Specialising in thin, crisp-based pizzas, Brooklyn Crispy caters to many palettes and dietary requirements. On the menu, there are vegetarian pizzas, natch, but also gluten-free bases and a range of vegan options. Plant-based eaters can pick from cauliflower and cashew cheddar; a toum, raisin and carrot pizza; or a mushroom and pickled chilli-topped creation.
When a menu focuses on 'alternatives', this can often mean less attention is paid to meaty options, but not so at Brooklyn Crispy. Just check out the 'Caffeinated Cow' pizza, topped with a ten-hour smoked coffee and cola beef brisket, with cold potato salad spooned on top just before serving. It's an entire backyard barbecue on a slice.
From the dog pizza menu (yes, really), pup parents can pick from three different options for their charges: a meatlovers' pie with kangaroo bacon, a chicken-topped pizza, and a veggie-loaded creation. Tomato doesn't sit so well with pups, so the pizzas have a sweet potato base. Grab your pooch some 'pup vino' or bone broth to cool off with.
Brookyln Crispy is open daily from 5pm to 10.30pm.
