Time Out says

This popular spot on Surf Lane has a line out the door on weekends, but the efficient and jovial team will generally have you seated and ordering a coffee or cocktail within ten minutes of your arrival. It’s run by three mates from the Shire, and they’ve fit the place out with simple Scandinavian decor in an industrial-style space with billowing mauve curtains softening the room. The big wrap-around communal bench is a great spot to enjoy a drink and watch the workings of the kitchen if you’re keen on whiling away the weekend in good company.

Their all-day menu throws interesting twists into café staples. The Morning Glory – their version of a big brekky – packs a punch with tandori-roasted sweet potato and whipped goats cheese next to the eggs and avocado in place of your standard bacon and mushroom collab.

The prawn burger is a more lunch-skewed meal that’s keeping it very fresh. There’s no way to avoid being covered in the chimichurri and smoky chipotle mayo that the prawns are doused in, but it’s worth it to get the right proportions of hot chorizo, melted gouda, fennel salad and prawn into every bite. The quick-pickled red onions cut through the salty richness for a zippy finish.

Add another fresh element to the table in the form of their watermelon cocktail. The simple combination of everyone’s favourite pink melon, fragrant rosemary and a splash of vodka will keep you smiling from brunch to sundown.
