This new Italian eatery from A Tavola founder and chef Eugenio Maiale is situated inside the old Billy Kwong site on Crown Street. It officially opens to the public from Tue Apr 21, and the menu features a tightly edited run of small plates (olives, meatballs, fried sardines with garlic mayonnaise, roasted peppers with salt cod capers...) along with larger dishes designed for sharing across four categories: raw, pasta, meat/fish and vego. They also do something called the 6pm Risotto, served daily a half-hour after it's prepared. If our experience with Maiale's food in the past taught us anything, it's that you can expect proper, handmade pasta, wine on tap and a laidback vibe.
