It was once a tiny hole-in-the-wall fry kitchen dishing out delicious takeaway buns. Now, Beautiful Burgers offers a lunch and breakfast range of stuff-between-bread and more in its 50-seat restaurant. You can watch the master burger-builders at work in the open kitchen or enjoy the breezy outdoor seating area.
As you’d expect, the menu predominantly features burgers. Work your way through a list that covers classic beef numbers and more exotic vegan varieties like the mushroom burger that’s kept crunchy with lettuce and tomato and gets a kick of spice from onion chilli jam. There’s also sandwiches, wraps and salads available for lunch. In the mornings, accompany your coffee with anything from a brekky bruschetta to a very fashionable acai bowl – the toasted muesli, fresh fruit and chia creates a good textural contrast to the blended bowl of fruit and juice.
With vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, there’s a burger to suit everyone. Pair burgers with beers on Fridays, when you can sample the full range of ciders, wines and beers on the menu for only $5 a pop.
