A Taste of India unites the diverse flavours of the country’s north and south. Located in upstairs rooms along Spit Road, the restaurant's stretched white drapes, low lighting and huge amount of seating make it look a little bit like an Indian-themed function centre – though for large groups that might be just what you need. For a taste of Northern India select one of the restaurant’s tandoor-cooked meals such as tender lamb cutlets, prawns or even half a chicken. From the south a Taste of India offers zingy coconut-based curries like prawn malabar – a traditionally Keralan peanut, prawn and coconut curry. Add some pappadums and pickles to your meal and finish with some syrupy gulab jamun.
