As far as breakfast with a view goes, it doesn't get much better than sitting on a leafy, shady deck and staring out at the rolling peaks of the Blue Mountains. And that is precisely what you can do at the new restaurants in the Botanic Garden Mount Tomah. The Potager Mount Tomah opens on Saturday, Dec 9 for people exploring up the Bells Line of Road and keen to get out of the big smoke for the weekend.

You can stare out a the majesty of nature while vanishing eggs Benedict; banana bread with mascarpone cream, berries and toasted coconut; a giant fluffy hot cake with syrup and fruit; and toast with honey, ricotta, and spiced poached pear. If you prefer to walk first and then refuel you can come for lunch where baby barramundi shares menu space with tasting boards.
