Whether you have a bad case of Royal Wedding fever, or are just looking for an excuse to sit around drinking wine this Saturday, Event Cinemas is the place you want to be.

Event Cinemas across Sydney are screening the whole dog-and-pony show live on the big screen from 8pm, and tickets are just $10. Selected cinemas (be sure to confirm before you go) are licensed, and are offering Royal Packages for $20 that include admission and two candy bar items – a glass of wine counts as a candy bar item in this context!

Wedding party guests are encouraged to dress up – prizes will be awarded at each location for the best outfits.

Cinemaplexes taking part are George Street, Macquarie, Burwood, Liverpool, Castle Hill, Bondi, Miranda, Parramatta, Campbelltown, Hornsby, Tuggerah, Top Ryde, Hurstville, Kotara, Shellharbour, Beverly Hills and Coffs Harbour.

We rather think that you'll be better able to critique the finer points of Meghan's dress when it's on a large screen, not to mention all that celeb-spotting as they take their seats at Windsor Castle. It'll be almost like being there yourself.

If you're after a more intimate affair Surry Hills' Bar Cleveland is turning into Bar Buckingham for the evening, while the AB Hotel will host a costume party. Both will screen the ceremony from 9pm.
