End of the holidays got you planning another one? You’re not alone. Following the holidays, a spate of new bookings always ensues as people realise how bloody good it is to be offline, but if you missed out on the Boxing Day sales, we’ve got good news. This morning (Tues, Feb 4), Qantas has launched a mega sale on international flights – with 400,000 flights reduced across the majority of its global network. Keen for a Euro trip? You could fly from Sydney to London and back for $1,749.

Among the routes on sale, other holiday hotspots include New York (with return fares from Sydney starting at $1,699), Bali (with return fares from Sydney starting at $679) and Los Angeles (with return fares from Sydney starting at $1,199). Want to explore Asia? You could fly from Sydney to Delhi or Tokyo for $949 return, or to Hong Kong and back for $999. Rather travel luxe? Business and premium economy seats are also included in the sale, with premium economy flights from Sydney to LA starting at $3,299, and business class flights from Sydney to Tokyo starting at $5,299. If you’ve been saving up Qantas points, you’re in luck – sale fares can be redeemed using points, with return flights from Sydney to London setting you back 99,400 Qantas Points (plus $755 in taxes, fees and carrier charges) and return flights from Sydney to Bali costing 43,100 Qantas Points (plus $248 in taxes, fees and carrier charges).

The sale will run from today until Monday, February 10, so you’ve got a bit of time to plan – though the peak routes will likely sell out fast. Discounted flights are available for travel between Wednesday, February 5 2025 (that’s tomorrow, in case you’re in the mood for a last-minute getaway) until January, February 15 2026. Though some blackout periods apply, you’ll find discounted routes to some destinations during the school holidays and other peak travel times.
