Every couple of years someone decided it's high time they saved everyone a trip Stateside and brought the West Coast's most famous burger outlet to Sydney.

Today it is happening again, this time at 11am on Stanley Street in Darlinghurst. Burger fans, like train-spotters or sneaker freaks, take their patties very seriously, so you can expect huge lines and a sold out sign on the door before too long.

Unlike last time, it isn't happening in a certified heatwave so that's a plus. They've stressed that the number of burgers is strictly limited (do you think they import them already constructed, or it is more an Ikea of hot sandwiches situation?) so commit fully or be content to live vicariously through the internet storm that naturally follows these events.

In-N-Out pop-up, Wood and Smoke, 77 Stanley St, Darlinghurst 2010. 11am. Tue Feb 26.

Want a burger you don't have to queue for? Here's our pick of Sydney's best things between sesame seed buns.
