Pop girlies, listen up. Although it’s only a little over two years since the British disco princess last showed up on a Sydney stage, we’re already desperate to get her back. No one does a dance banger like Dua, and with the release of her new album Radical Optimism last year, she has stacks of fresh hits we've been dying to hear live.
So get ready, because it's finally Sydney's turn for our very own training season. Get ready to dance the night away as Dua plays three (!!) huge arena shows in our city. Find out everything you need to know about her upcoming performances in Sydney below.
When is Dua Lipa in Sydney?
The pop goddess graced the stage at the Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday, March 26, and will be back on stage on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29.
Who is Dua Lipa’s support act in Sydney?
Aussie pop girlie Kita Alexander is supporting Dua Lipa for her Australian and New Zealand dates – you may know her for the hit 'Atmosphere', a catchy dance collab with EDM larrikin Fisher. She has a similar vibe to Dua – powerful vocals and passionate lyrics with fun vibes, so it's absolutely worth getting to the gig early to catch her set.
How to get to the Dua Lipa concert
The 10,000 car parking spaces at Olympic Park are expected to be booked out well in advance. It can also get pretty congested leaving the car park at the end of the night, so public transport is often the best option for getting to Qudos Bank Arena. Olympic Park Station is less than a ten-minute walk from the stadium, and heaps of additional trains and buses will run to and back from Olympic Park during the concerts – you’ll find more info here.
What time will Dua Lipa come on stage in Sydney?
Gates will open at 6pm, and the Qudos Bank Arena team has stated Kita Alexander will come on stage at 7.30pm. Dua Lipa should start her set at around 8.30pm and it will finish around 10.15pm.
What can I bring to the Dua Lipa shows?
There are specific rules for what you can and can’t bring to Dua’s shows in Sydney – here are the main things to remember. (Note that the below rules are strict – we've learnt first-hand by attending concerts at Qudos that if you bring a bigger bag, they'll make you cloak it.)
You can bring:
One bag no larger than 20cm x 15cm. Make sure you’ve also got your card (or digital pay on your phone) because the venue is 100 per cent cashless.
You can’t bring:
Professional cameras, alcohol, glass bottles, bicycles or motorcycle helmets. Backpack wearer? You’ll need to switch it up – no backpacks (regardless of size) are allowed. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, isn't allowed in the stadium unless in designated areas. A heap of other items you may or may not have been considering bringing along are also prohibited, so it’s worth checking the list over here.
Are there any Dua Lipa tickets left in Sydney?
Unsurprisingly, tickets to Dua's shows have been in high demand. General allocation for all dates is currently exhausted, but you can have a go at looking for tickets on ticket resale platforms, or keep an eye on the Ticketek page in case new tickets are released.
