We may be only four days into 2018, but if you're already thinking it's time to cash in your 'new year, new me' resolution, we've found the ultimate way to do it. Meet Everyday Espresso's breakfast sandwich, aka the Coops Benny. The Redfern café is doing the ultimate NOPE to any hopes of #cleaneating, by loading up a croissant with streaky bacon, a fried egg, buttermilk fried chicken and topping it all with a rich yuzu hollandaise. If you're going to say 'Cya' to Veganuary in the most spectacular way possible, this is probably it. The menu was designed by chef Tomislav Martinovic (a Fat Duck alumnus and the man behind Five Points Burgers in North Sydney), and it'll set you back $14.90.
If you still want to maintain a skerrick of your best self for a little while longer, the café can also whip you up healthier options – try a green bowl with brown rice, Chinese cabbage, raw kale, avocado, edamame, soft boiled egg, mustard dressing and tamari almonds; or a soba noodle-loaded omelette.
You'll find Everyday Espresso at 159 Redfern St, Redfern 2009.
