In very exciting news for Time Outs everywhere, a brand-new Time Out Market is set to open up in Osaka, Japan in 2025. This fresh addition to the world-famous Time Out Market Group is the first to appear in the Asia Pacific region and represents a massive step forward for the Time Out across the international board – but particularly for all of us in Asia Pacific.

At the Time Out Market Osaka (arguably one of Japan’s dreamiest cities), visitors will get the chance to sample the best of the city’s food, drink and entertainment, all under one colossal roof. Just like its siblings in Miami, Lisbon, New York, Boston, Montreal, Chicago and Dubai, Osaka's market will bring the city’s best together to peddle their delicious wares in a 28,800-square-metre market space that will contain 15 of Osaka’s most illustrious chefs and restaurants, as well as two permanent bars.

Working in partnership with Japanese real estate developer Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corporation, Time Out Osaka will be hitting the ground in the Umekita Second Zone development, a precinct that is set to include new housing, offices, hotels, commercial facilities and a municipal park, all alongside what will become home to Japan’s newest permanent collection of curated and collected culinary delights.

In Japan, Osaka is also known as kuidaore, which means ‘too much good food to eat’, and when it comes to the Time Out Market, this couldn’t ring more true. We think 2025 can’t come fast enough.
