Internationally recognised Canadian pianist, Avan Yu, will take centre stage at The Concourse Concert Hall for two unforgettable nights, enchanting audiences with Virtuoso – a captivating concert featuring classical pieces by some of history’s most illustrious composers.

The remarkable young pianist rose to international fame after winning first place at the prestigious Sydney International Piano Competition in 2012 and since then, has toured the world, picking up further accolades. Yu is now set to grace Australian shores and will lead the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in two unforgettable concerts of verve and virtuosity.

The breathtaking piano concert will open with Mendelssohn’s famous The Hebrides Overture, inspired by the beauty of the Scottish coast. Yu will then star as the soloist and conductor in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, K.466 and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

You can experience the magic of this internationally renowned virtuoso on Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26. Adult tickets are $57 with concession and youth tickets also available here.
