Time Out says

If you love a good musical extravaganza and watching supremely talented people do their thing, you won’t want to miss the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra’s Last Night of the Proms when it returns to the Concourse Concert Hall for two nights only in August. This grand concert will fill the hearts and souls of locals who love a good sing-a-long and British expats missing home, with high-energy performances of popular classics and orchestral favourites.

At the baton is renowned Sydney conductor, Sam Weller, who will lead the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choir in this spectacular concert. We recommend resting your vocal cords the night before, so you can belt out flag-waving anthems for the amazing two-and-a-half-hour concert that follows, and saving some stamina for the grand finale featuring traditional Last Night of the Proms sing-a-longs including ‘Rule, Britannia’, ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Pomp and Circumstance March No.1’.

Last Night of the Proms will bring the high-spirited atmosphere of the final night of the Proms series in the Royal Albert Hall to Chatswood with two exclusive performances on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13. This annual symphonic gala has been a sell-out in previous years, so you’ll want to secure tickets soon. Prices start at $15.30 for kids, $26 for those under 26 years old and $57 for adults.
