Neko Case

There are some artists who seem to never put a foot wrong and who never let the quality control meter drop. With them, seeing their name attached to a project is a seal of approval, a guarantee of good times ahead. This has now been the situation with alt-country legend Neko Case for over two decades and Hell-On, the album she released last year, continues that tradition. It’s full of considered instrumentation and gorgeous melodies, as you’d expect, but still comes packed with the righteous fury that’s become a Neko Case hallmark. A shade over five years to the day since her previous show in Sydney, Metro Theatre gig-goers are in for a treat from one of Americana’s most consistently brilliant leading lights.
