Forty local musicians and singers from Western Sydney will be performing four hours of non-stop live music across 15 venues in Parramatta on Saturday. In the first Live and Local Parramatta event, there’ll be bands and solo artists – all emerging music-makers – popping up in restaurants, cafés, pubs, hairdressing salons and bridal stores and hair salons from afternoon to evening. The event kicks off at Centenary Square with a performance by The Voice Australia contestant Darren Percival (a Parramatta local) with the Live and Local Choir. You can then move through venues along Church and Phillip Streets, including El-Phoenician, Riverside Theatres and the Emporium to hear from performers like Lola Sola, Wolfdog and Origins. Two satellite venues, Beatdisc Records and Uncle Kurt’s, will showcase live music after the main event for those looking to kick-on into Saturday night.
