Navigate the new twists and turns of Sydney Park’s recently relaunched bike track for children. Opened by Lord Mayor Clover Moore in November 2015, the track includes a beginners’ area and a complex adventure trail for young kids learning to ride a pushbike. Wide paths, hills, curves, bridges and ‘stop’ and ‘go’ signals are there to boost kids’ confidence on two wheels.
The track is designed to challenge all abilities in a fun and engaging way. Young cyclists can play at refuelling their cycle, dipping and ducking into tunnels and racing along five kilometres of safe shared paths.
The bike track is next to Sydney Park Cycling Centre with public toilets, barbecue facilities, picnic areas and shaded areas nearby, all designed for families. The facility also offers free balance clinics and learn-to-ride courses throughout the year.
Once you’ve ditched the training wheels, take a well-earned break in the playground.
