Time Out says

Have you got a couple of wannabe skater boys and girls on your hands these school holidays? Let them learn how to balance on the board and land jumps at this holiday workshop.

The cool coaches from Totem Skateboarding will run the pop-up skateboarding school at the Barangaroo Cutaway from April 14-18. Your kids won’t be sliding down rails just yet, but they will be learning standing and stopping techniques, how to control the board, the correct skatepark etiquette and all the essential info about safety equipment.

The sessions will also include fun games so kids can practice their new skills, and there will be a skating performance with Tony Hawk-level tricks and flips. The classes run for just under two hours and are suitable for kids aged 5-15 – they’ll be split into groups of 20 riders based on age and ability.
