The school holidays are just around the corner and it's time to pack them out with a roster of awesome activities to keep kids and families entertained. The Escape Hunt Experience is a Sydney based interactive escape room, which sees teams of up to five people (ages 7 and up) work together to make their way out of the room. Spot clues, solve puzzles and decipher hunts before time runs out.

They’ve tailored the themes to draw on Sydney's history, with rooms based on crime-riddled stories of the city. There’s Robbery in the Cottage, set in the Rocks during the 1900s (the best option for beginners and younger kids); there’s Assassin in the Pub, a nod to the 1920s razor gangs who terrorised the Rocks; or Secret Service Mission where you investigate the disappearance of the Prime Minister, Harold Holt; and Extortion in the Dockyard, the story of a blackmailed ship captain who wants to protect his reputation. Each room requires you to exercise your brain by busting codes, doing some mental arithmetic and discovering each clue, that will lead you closer to busting out of the room. Work in teams, play to your strengths and get those thinking caps on.

Time Out Sydney readers can also enjoy 20 per cent off all games booked during the school holidays (Monday April 16 to Friday April 27). To redeem the offer, enter the code 'SCHOOLSOUT20' when booking online.
