The best hotels near Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport

Relaxation isn’t a word most people associate with airports, but as you watch planes cross the tarmac from the retro-chic eighth floor bar of this hotel, you might start to wonder where all your travel stress comes from. The Citadines Connect Sydney Airport is one of the newest hotels near Sydney’s Kingsford Smith International Airport, and it’s a brilliant place to stay if you need quick access to the terminals.

This sophisticated hotel is nicely placed if you’re hopping on to a domestic or international flight from Sydney Airport. Free transfers mean you don’t have to faff around with a taxi, and the suites – some of which come with a balcony – aren’t too shabby either. There's also an in-house sports bar and you can skip the airport maccas for their well stocked breakfast buffet.

You couldn’t get much closer to the airport if you tried (and we have). A domestic flight is just a ten-minute walk away, with the hotel located just 600 metres from the airport. Each room offers a kitchenette so you can whip up your own dinner and save precious exploring money, and they also provide a washing machine for total DIY decadence.

This modern hotel is ideal for a super-chilled stay. It has lovely, slick, spacious suites, a lovely long swimming pool and Sydney International Airport and Sydney CBD are just a 15-minute trip by car. What’s not to like?
