After a two-year hiatus, Vivid Sydney is back for its 12th year, transforming the city into a pulsating, colourful canvas for 23 days (May 27-June 18). Vivid Sydney fuses mesmerising art displays and 3D light projections with exhilarating live music performances and deep-dive discussions from some of the world's brightest minds.

This epic transformation of the city is a stand-out event in anyone’s diary, so why not snap up one of the best seats in the house for this spectacular return at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney?

Step out of the hotel straight onto the Light Walk, hosting the works of 62 light collaborators and 114 light artists from five countries. These incredible immersive light installations reshape familiar sights, adding new sparkle to the city skyline.

Or stay in and enjoy the crème de la crème of harbour views, beholding colourful projections across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, all from the comfort of a guest room.

The window to the heart of the city can be found at Grain – the multi-award-winning cocktail bar by Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, overlooking George Street and Circular Quay. The bar’s cocktail artisans will be mixing cocktails inspired by the lights, colour and creativity of the festival.

Grain Bar is hosting artist James Patrick, who will be creating a beautiful glow-in-the-dark Vivid drawing along the exterior window. Guests are invited to mix and mingle with the artist and take pictures of Patrick’s work in progress along with the Sydney skyline. The art incorporates the city’s skyline in a natural form and features some of Australia’s endangered species, from the koala to the Australian Powerful owl.

To bask in some more Vivid-inspired delight before even stepping outside, check out the Hotel's award-winning Mode Kitchen & Bar by executive restaurant chef Francesco Mannelli. A bright purple beetroot risotto and a steamed hāpuku with yellow saffron are among his gastronomic tributes to the festival, while completing the experience is a grand finale dish: pastry chef Quentin’s custom-made Vivid St Honoré dessert, available throughout the entire Vivid festival period.

The façade of Four Seasons Hotel Sydney will also feature as a backdrop to a major Vivid Sydney light projection, illuminating the building each evening 6-11pm.

Enhanced room packages are available – find out more at the website. A stay at the Four Seasons Sydney is a treat at any time, but during Vivid, it’s on a whole other level.
