In a seedy part of Texas a bar owner (Dan Hedaya) hires a private detective (M Emmet Walsh) to spy on his wife (Frances McDormand), whom he suspects is having an affair with bartender Ray (John Getz). Things quickly spiral out of control.
This cult classic ranks among the best work by the makers of Fargo and No Country for Old Men.
